Why Fyrelane

What makes the work different.

Written output, always

Every engagement produces something you can read later. Not a deck, not a framework — a considered written document that captures what was observed or discussed.

Observation over prescription

The work describes what is actually happening before suggesting what might change. People closest to the work are the ones who decide what to do next.

Sized to the situation

The three engagements are deliberately distinct in scope — from a single hour to six months. The right fit depends on what is actually needed, not on a minimum billing threshold.

Handled with discretion

Conversations and observations stay within the engagement. Nothing is shared outside the people who were part of the work, without prior agreement.

Plain language throughout

Documents are written to be read by people who are busy. No jargon, no management-speak — just a clear account of what was found and what might be worth considering.

Direct senior engagement

All work is carried out by the principal consultant. There are no junior staff assigned to observe in place of the person you spoke with at the outset.

Is there a question you haven't quite found the words for?

A short conversation about whether there is a fit costs nothing. If there is no good reason to work together, we will say so directly.

Questions

Things people usually ask first.

What kind of questions suit the Warp Conversation? +

It tends to work well when a managing director has a specific matter they have been thinking about for some time but haven't quite found the right framing for. Strategic direction, a change they are considering, a tension they are carrying — something that would benefit from a careful counterpart rather than an internal sounding board.

How does the Threading Engagement work in practice? +

The consultant spends time alongside the people involved in two or three handoff points — where one team passes work to another. This typically means attending a few meetings, reviewing documents that are shared between teams, and having short informal conversations. The output is a written description of what was observed, shared with the team so they can work with it themselves.

What does the Loom Programme involve on a weekly basis? +

Outside of the fortnightly sessions, the consultant stays close to the initiative by reading the summaries, notes, and updates that the team is already producing. The goal is to hold a clear picture of the whole so that the fortnightly sessions can focus on what is most useful — rather than catching up on context that was already there.

Are the prices shown the full cost of the engagement? +

Yes. The prices listed — SGD 215, SGD 745, and SGD 1,295 — are the full engagement fees. There are no additional charges for travel within Singapore, for the preparation documents, or for any written outputs produced during the engagement.

How is sensitive information handled? +

All conversations and observations are treated as confidential within the scope of the engagement. Nothing is shared with parties outside the engagement without prior agreement. Before any work begins, there is a short written agreement that sets out how information will be handled.

How do I know which engagement is right for us? +

A short introductory conversation usually makes this clear. If you have a specific question in mind and a particular meeting in your diary, the Warp Conversation may fit. If there is ongoing friction between teams, the Threading Engagement is likely more suitable. The Loom Programme is for situations where a substantial initiative is already underway and needs quiet coordination across functions.
